An ambience of privacy. Modulated tones of white. A figure moving toward us. The body anonymous, evocative, an apparition perhaps. The ambiguity of silhouette and flesh emerging from a luminous screen. Backlighting forming and deforming an image. Near and far, solidity, fluidity? Our perception repeatedly short-circuited, dyslexic. Hinting at the melancholy of remembered places, silent screening of a prolonged moment, the picture hangs on a normally vacant wall at the East Entrance of Hart House.
